Thursday 14th August 2014

Our little Freddie has had a 'Frozen' themed party today, an early celebration of his third birthday next week...

He spent the whole day asking me when his party was going to start and when his friends would be arriving!

It's fair to say they were both quite excitable.

Thankfully the rain stopped so we could play inside and out.

In absolute classic Freddie fashion he wasn't bothered about winning any prizes and just wanted to be in charge of the music for pass the parcel and musical statues. He loved giving out prizes to his friends.

Freddie's frozen cake 'expertly' made by yours truly.

Excited cuddle after blowing out his '3' candle.

Helping out with the post party tidy up by cutting the indoor grass with his new mower.

We all had lots of fun and Freddie said "I loved it."
Our baby is growing up.

Monday 11th August 2014

Freddie has been into the pre-school room at nursery today.
After a recent failed attempt to introduce him to the 'big boys and girls room' (he had a bit of a wobble) the lovely Papermoon ladies tried again today and it was more of a success.

In September it will be bye bye Tweenies room and hello pre-school for good.
Freddie is very keen on his nursery ladies so it's going to be interesting to see how he gets on. He will actually only be in the next room and get to see them during outdoor play but it will still be a big step.

Pre-school is a bit more of a classroom environment but is still all about playing and having fun!

I can't get my head around Freddie starting school in only a year! We definitely need to make the most of the next twelve months.
He has got such a different personality compared to his big brother. He is a very good boy at nursery but I'm not convinced he'll be as enthusiastic about school work as Samuel always has been. I get the feeling he might have the attitude of "I can do it......but I'm not because I don't want to."
My little feisty fighter. Love him so much.

The summer holidays have been great so far...

There have been plenty of slides

               ...and  roundabouts.

                          A lot of yummy food

         Visits to places like these

       ...oh and even more slides.

Even a trip to the beach

                                       Handsome even with drool.

Wednesday 23rd July 2014

Six weeks begin here.

The last day of the school year has come and gone and Samuel has come on leaps and bounds in confidence and ability whilst in Year one.

He has come home with a bag full of work for us to look at (and find somewhere to keep). His year book is lovely and hilariously declares that in a list of 'most likely to' he is most likely to take over the world! Also that he was the tidiest in the class! I'm going to keep reminding him of that one over the next six weeks.

I am excited about spending some quality time with the boys but am slightly apprehensive of how well they are going to get on with each other.

Freddie's favourite saying at the moment is "I don't want to do anything!" This usually comes after listing the things he is going to do..."I'm going to be naughty, throw my toys, cry, and not say sorry." Seriously, he actually gives us a heads up just before a melt down.

I'm hoping to keep them busy enough so that falling out seems like too much effort.

Good luck to all the mums and dads out there!

Sunday 29th June 2014

Yesterday, the lovely ladies at Freddie's nursery worked very hard raising money for Heart Link at their summer fete.

The fete was a big success and raised over one thousand pounds!
There were games, cakes, face painting, tombola and lots of other fun things for the little ones...

                                                Samuel's monster face!

Lots of yummy cakes to choose from

Not sure Freddie stuck to the five minute rule on the bouncy castle.

                                        Your just sooooooo silly Grandpops

A massive thank you to the nursery for raising money for such a wonderful cause so close to our hearts.
