Bye bye trot!

Freddie is on his third dummy-free night.

We prepared him for it during the run up to his birthday. "Three year old boys don't need trots" seemed to go down ok with him so we went with that!

There was slight resistance the first night but we told him that we had left trot in the caravan at Butlin's for another baby Freddie to have.

It feels a bit like the end of an era. He still likes his 'beety' aka sheety and I might just let him have that forever!

The Sawyer's have been to butlins!

We have just returned from a week at Butlin's in Skegness. We stayed in a caravan on the Butlin's site and have had a fab fun-filled week.

We were really impressed by how much there was to do for the boys and how big the place is.

We had visitors... Cousins Zachary and Sienna loved the rides!

Mamma and Grandpops love the seaside.

We got to see some great shows which were all included in the price of the visit...

The splash water world is excellent...rapids, slides, lazy river and bubbles! Great for all ages!

Dancing fountains in the dark were just too tempting.

A trip to the seaside just wouldn't be the same without a donkey ride.

We even got Nanan on the rides!

And Grandad in the fountains!

A certain little boy had his birthday while we were there...

The little dude had a fab birthday...3 years old, where did the time go?

We really did have a wonderful time. A full week of making memories with those crazy little men.

Happy 3rd birthday Freddie!

Three years old today...officially a big boy now.

We are celebrating in style at Butlins, sat waiting for Beauty and the Beast show to start.

Today is a day of mixed emotions for me and always will be. Quiet reflections (only possible when the little bundles of energy are asleep) but mostly loud celebrations with the birthday boy.

Freddie you are a bossy, willful, noisy but also extremely loving little monkey and we've got nothing but love for you.
You absolutely complete us.
Happy birthday buddy.

Thursday 14th August 2014

Our little Freddie has had a 'Frozen' themed party today, an early celebration of his third birthday next week...

He spent the whole day asking me when his party was going to start and when his friends would be arriving!

It's fair to say they were both quite excitable.

Thankfully the rain stopped so we could play inside and out.

In absolute classic Freddie fashion he wasn't bothered about winning any prizes and just wanted to be in charge of the music for pass the parcel and musical statues. He loved giving out prizes to his friends.

Freddie's frozen cake 'expertly' made by yours truly.

Excited cuddle after blowing out his '3' candle.

Helping out with the post party tidy up by cutting the indoor grass with his new mower.

We all had lots of fun and Freddie said "I loved it."
Our baby is growing up.

Monday 11th August 2014

Freddie has been into the pre-school room at nursery today.
After a recent failed attempt to introduce him to the 'big boys and girls room' (he had a bit of a wobble) the lovely Papermoon ladies tried again today and it was more of a success.

In September it will be bye bye Tweenies room and hello pre-school for good.
Freddie is very keen on his nursery ladies so it's going to be interesting to see how he gets on. He will actually only be in the next room and get to see them during outdoor play but it will still be a big step.

Pre-school is a bit more of a classroom environment but is still all about playing and having fun!

I can't get my head around Freddie starting school in only a year! We definitely need to make the most of the next twelve months.
He has got such a different personality compared to his big brother. He is a very good boy at nursery but I'm not convinced he'll be as enthusiastic about school work as Samuel always has been. I get the feeling he might have the attitude of "I can do it......but I'm not because I don't want to."
My little feisty fighter. Love him so much.

The summer holidays have been great so far...

There have been plenty of slides

               ...and  roundabouts.

                          A lot of yummy food

         Visits to places like these

       ...oh and even more slides.

Even a trip to the beach

                                       Handsome even with drool.
