Monday 3rd September 2012

Due to all of the excitement of Freddie's naming ceremony and his first birthday I failed to mention the fact that the week before his celebratory weekend he had an appointment at the development centre.

The appointment was a success. Freddie got weighed and measured. He hadn't put a lot of weight on since his last weigh in but he is still staying on the same trend and is very active these days!

Freddie is doing so well that the doctor thinks we will only have to see him once more when Freddie is eighteen months old.

I quote....

"I was delighted to see Freddie in clinic on 16.08.12. He recently saw the cardiologists and they are very pleased with his current status. They are aware of a narrowing which is probably at the anastomotic site in the aorta. This has not changed over recent months

From a developmental point of view, given his nine weeks prematurity, Freddie is making very good progress indeed: he is sitting, pulling to stand, rolling, is not yet crawling; he has good hand skills bilaterally with a bilateral pincer approach. He has recently had a hearing test and this needs to be completed. There are no concerns about his hearing or vision.

There you have it. Certainly the most positive medical letter with have ever received regarding the little man.
