Thursday 22nd January 2015

January is a very long month and the Sawyer's are definitely looking forward to a bit of spring sunshine. It will be so nice to be able to play on the garden again and for it to be lighter in the evenings.

We had a lovely walk along Trent Embankment at the weekend and despite the freezing temperatures the first signs of spring were evident...

The first daffodil I have seen had to make it on the blog! I think the boys thought I was a bit crazy at this point.

Sunshine selfie!

A go on the swings was a must.

Samuel's shadow photo-bombed this picture of Daddy...and picked his nose!

Samuel is much braver than me.

Good times.

I love this photo of Trent Bridge.

Happy January everyone....counting down the days till spring!

Saturday 3rd January 2015

Good morning.

Thought I would share a couple of little gems with you...

Last night I came home from work to Freddie saying "O M G" to everything. So from now on when you tell Freddie to stop doing something he not only tells you to "get your hair down" he also says "OMG."

Just before his bedtime last night the little dude asked me if I was going to watch Jamie Oliver with Daddy! How does he know who Jamie Oliver is?

This morning...

We are playing Jamie Oliver!

Happy New Year!

2015 is here and we are all geared up for another great year. We have all made resolutions (well Freddie's was made for him and involves him losing his temper a little less). Samuel wants to start writing a diary, Daddy has promised to cook dinner once a week and I have started back on slimming world after an extremely fattybum Christmas.

Freddie's Glenfield appointment is at the end of this month and we have no reason to think we wont get anything but the usual good news, which will be nice reassurance for the rest of the year.

We've got weddings, birthdays, days out oh and a certain US of A Disney holiday to look forward to this year. Ahhh that last one gets me a little giddy already despite it being 10 months away.

Samuel has got his first taste of school 'tests' to experience this year in the form of the SAT's although we are nicely reassured that the children wont think of it as anything other than another workbook to complete.

A certain Freddie Mark has a very busy year, especially come September. I am determined to make the most of the time the youngest boy and I have together at home before he starts school. We're going to do plenty of visiting friends and family and lots of playing.

Here are a few more snaps of our fun Christmas hols...

Snow on boxing day was magical

It was past their bedtime but we couldn't miss out on an opportunity for a snowball fight

Our handsome big boy with his Daddy's eyes

Freddie still smiling despite his earlier nose dive into the ice

Ready, steady....nose dive!

New Years Eve at Uncle Dint and Auntie Emma's house. Can't believe we actually got a photo of all 6 of them sitting still!

Party time

Poor Samuel - he's the biggest, therefore always at the bottom of the 'pile on'!

New Years Day fresh air with the Frost family

Samuel and Sophie, friends since only bumps in their mummy's tummies!

Even gorgeous in a puddle suit!

Ta Da!

Starting the year off with a pint in the pub with the Wrights
